Job Description:

Key Responsibilities :

  • PolyWorks Programming: Develop and maintain PolyWorks inspection programs from CAD models for CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) and portable scanners.  
  • Dimensional Inspection: Execute 1st article, in-process, and final inspection of complex automotive components (especially sheet metal and welded assemblies).  
  • GD&T & Blueprints: Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
  • Quality Standards: Ensure manufactured parts align with customer requirements and industry standards, aiding in PPAP, APQP, and MSA documentation.  
  • Report Generation: Create detailed 3D control views and automated inspection reports to provide actionable feedback to the production and tool shop teams.  

Typical Requirements

  • Education: Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
  • Experience: 2 to 6 years of hands-on CMM programming experience in the auto-components or sheet metal sectors.
  • Core Skills: Proficiency in PolyWorks software is mandatory; additional experience with PC-DMIS or Calypso is highly advantageous.
  • Soft Skills: Attention to detail, ability to work independently, and strong analytical skills to troubleshoot manufacturing defects.
